How can light therapy help?
What is Class IV Deep Tissue Laser Therapy?
Laser Therapy is an FDA approved modality that reduces inflammation and ultimately results in pain reduction. Laser Therapy is effective in treating acute pain, chronic conditions and post-op pain.
Laser therapy treatment is safe, painless and fast. Deep Tissue Laser Therapy treatments are administered in 3-10 minutes. Typically clients see results after 3 to 5 treatment sessions. Deep Tissue Laser Therapy utilizes your body’s own healing powers by stimulating cellular activity. Despite fast treatment times, laser therapy treatments initiate a healing process that continues to actively reduce inflammation for up 18 hours after treatment.
What can you expect from Laser Therapy?
Class IV Deep Tissue Laser Therapy is a non-invasive technique to help reduce pain and inflammation. Laser therapy is safely used as an adjunct or replacement for pharmaceutical drugs and/or surgery. The technology used is the NFL and FDA approved LightForce FXi, which offers a maximum power of 15W, making the therapy faster and more effective.
Laser therapy treatments are typically 3-10 minutes, depending on the area and condition being treated. Laser therapy treatments must be administered directly above or to the skin, as laser light cannot penetrate through layers of clothing. You will feel a soothing warmth as the therapy is administered.
Depending on the condition being treated your therapy may be administered through either a contact or non-contact hand piece. The contact hand piece is designed to allow the practitioner to physically manipulate the tissue while administering the treatment, resulting in a laser-massage treatment. This allows for light to penetrate deeper into tissues than the non-contact hand piece due to its ability to displace tissue through a laser-massage technique.
